The Tour
GRCC's two touring choirs will make this trip, which will cost about $160,000. We've collected about $30,000 so far and have pledges for more. GRCC aims to tour every other year with our top choirs, alternating domestic and international travel. The children think of themselves as global citizens and the response we've gotten during our trips tells us our members are fantastic ambassadors representing themselves, our greater Richmond region, and the United States. It is GRCC's policy that no one is left at home because of an inability to pay. Generous gifts from the greater Richmond community, and from family and friends near and far, have made this possible in the past and these tours have been life changing experiences for the children. We appreciate your support!
Welcome and thank you for visiting our page!
GRCC is delighted to announce its 2012 tour to England and Ghana following the historic slave trade triangle. The tour will include cultural exchanges and performances from Liverpool Cathedral to Cape Coast Castle. It is our hope that through this journey we will gain a deeper understanding of Richmond's history and return with a renewed vision for reconciliation and hope for the future.
